The Scriptures speak of “repentance unto life” (Act 11:18). We turn from sin and turn to the Saviour. This is why Paul preached “repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Act 20:21). So important and essential is repentance to the body of Christ that it was the first word Jesus spoke at the entrance into public ministry (Mat 4:17). John the Baptist began his ministry in the same way (Mat 3:2). Jesus told His hearers that without repentance, they would perish (Luke13:3). Jesus is faithful and He will forgive us when we repent. Repentance is returning to God so that we might find rest for our souls and have a closer relationship with him. Among many other blessings of salvation, repentance brings, reconciliation and peace with God the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Eternal Father of hope, I pray Holy Spirit protection over the hearts and minds of Your people. May they hear Your Word, accept the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and turn to You. Intervene, O God, for many souls to be saved, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
