Father, glory to Your divine creative, redemptive and awesome life-giving name.
I pray this day in Jesus’ name that we Your people will be mindful of  how we speak about our brethren. Remind us that we must not judge.
Matthew 7:1 clearly instructs us not to judge yet many of us who claim to have received Christ are caught up in this error. Father, open our eyes to the error of our ways and help us to change. Father, gossip is operating in the church as a divisive weapon stunting the growth of the church. 2Cor 12:20 clearly tells us that this destructive behaviour is in some of the most unexpected places in the body of Your people.

Father, we open our mouths to speak not considering the hurt we cause each other, ignorant of the fact that life and death are in the power of the tongue, (Prov 18:2). Father, I pray, root it out of the body of the church You are building, in Jesus’ name. Father, intervene, fill us with spiritual kindness and compassion towards each other. Heal those hurting from these behaviours, Father, and those who have left, I pray You restore them to the fold. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
