O Lord our God, give us a clean steadfast heart, which no unworthy affection may drag downwards; give us an unconquered heart, which no trials or tribulation can wear out. Father, give us an upright heart, which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside. Bestow upon us, O Lord our God, wisdom and understanding to come to the knowledge of who you are;  diligence and an unwavering faith to seek You with our whole heart and not with our heads, so that we may to find You. Give us a faithfulness that may finally embrace You; through Jesus Christ our Lord, we thank You. Amen.
