Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. “There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Why? Because, “The face of the LORD is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth” (Psa 34:16).

Father, many are the afflictions of Your people, and I pray in Jesus’ name that Your eyes would look upon us, Your ears, Lord, would hear the cries of Your inheritance and deliver us from all attacks and from every evil plan. Deliver and defend us, I pray in Jesus’ name, from those that embrace evil, and deliver us from the mouths that speak lies. Our eyes are on You, our heads lifted up as we look to You for help O Lord. We put our trust and hope in You, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
