Eternal God of heaven, we honour your precious holy name.
Father, we come to you in faith, as you see everything we do and know our deepest thoughts. Your Word instructs us: “Keep examining yourselves to see whether you are continuing in the faith. Test yourselves! You know, don’t you, that Jesus the Messiah lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test?” (2 Cor 13:5 ISV).

Father, we believe that we have Jesus living in us, “for we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor 5:7 KJVLite). Through faith, we want to demonstrate His characteristics in every way but sometimes we fail. Father, forgive us. We pray for Holy Spirit help to examine ourselves deeply and prayerfully to see our own faults and accept that we need to change. Help us to turn from our faults and sins and live righteously, so that with good conscience, we might correct each other in love in Christ Jesus through Your Word. Grant us favour, O God, as we pray and give You thanks. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
