May God Be With You
My Friends and Brethren in Christ Jesus,
The world is becoming a place where people will not take heed of sound doctrine. If you try and tell some people about Jesus they might hate you, might persecute you or even kill you. We read this truth throughout the scriptures which also tells of a deeper and praiseworthy truth: that enduring persecution for Christ puts the believer in a position of blessedness, (Matthew 5:10, Luke 6:22).
Moreover, persecution is one of the enemy’s many plans that is not able to separate us from the love and plans of God through Christ, (Romans 8:35, Jeremiah 29:11). Believers suffering persecution must commit themselves to God, (1 Peter 4:19) and, exhibit patience, (1Corinthians 4:12) knowing, God doesn’t forsake believers under persecution, (2 Cor 4:9). Persecution of God’s people is born out of hatred for God and Christ (John 15:20, 23), but, punishment is prepared for the persecutors, (Psalm 7:13) because God deems it righteous, (2 Thessalonians 1:6).
May the power of the Everlasting God of our salvation, open our ears and pierce our hearts to keep and guide us into all truth in this present time by His outstretched hand. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Hallelujah! Thank you Lord!
