We Are The Church
Greetings, Brethren in Christ
I write to remind us that we are the church. Jesus declared after His identity was revealed by Peter through the Spirit of God, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” It is important that in a world which is fast moving away from the things of God, we who are His must know who He Is. Christ is the pinnacle, centre, foundation and cornerstone of the church. He is the gospel of it, the preaching and teaching of it, the help of it, the spirit of it. Jesus must be the source of every conversation in the church; our worship, prayers and desires must have Jesus as their reason.
If people must be saved in this world their saviour must be Jesus. There is no other name by which people must be saved (Act 4:12) and yet the world refuses to hear or even speak the name Jesus, the name that speaks peace to the storms of life – peace be still. Every mercy that we as children of God ever need is in Christ Jesus. The most important fact is, no Jesus, no crucifixion, no salvation, no repentance, and no eternal life with God the Father.
Jesus thou son of David have mercy on Your people. Father, in Jesus’ name, by Your Spirit cause us to know and acknowledge all that You have given us and declare it to the world. All Glory to God! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
