My Fellow Servant and Soldier in Christ,

“Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are abundant for us, so also our consolation is abundant through Christ.” (2 Cor 1:2-5). For it is God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Cor 4:6). May the abundant grace of God, the constraining love of Christ and the indwelling witness of the Holy Spirit make of us new creatures, so that old things pass away, and all things become new.

“Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.”  (2 Cor 7:1). May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
