In John  chapter 4, Peter and John tell their brethren what had happened, how a crippled man was healed in Jesus’ name. And that after the miracle, they were ordered not to speak in Jesus name. But Peter and John were bold and continued in the name of Jesus. “So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them” (Acts 4:24 NKJV).

Father God, “Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice” (Psa 141:2). I desire then that in every place the people should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarrel (1 Tim 2:8).  I pray that You “Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle” (Psa 28:2). Father, in Jesus’ name, pour out the spirit of prayer in your people, anoint us with gifts of prayer so that in every situation we might pray effectual fervent prayers, that we might be bold as we tell people about Jesus and call on your name for help. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
