Be merciful

And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. (1 Sam 15:22). For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. (Hos 6:6). He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Mic 6:8). But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Mat 9:13). But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. (Mat 12:7).

Father God, I bless Your everlasting name and give thanks for Your Word of guidance. I pray that Your mercy that endureth forever, would be granted to Your servants as we learn of You and show mercy to one another in the church. I give You humble thanks Lord, as I plead for mercy for our health issues that we might recover, for our families, and for our children and their children. I pray for mercy in our homes, in the streets where we live, and mercy in our workplaces, in Jesus’ name. Father, may You grant us Your mercies as we obey Your Word. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
