In the priestly prayer of Jesus, He prayed that for those people God had placed in His care, and He also acknowledged the people as belonging to God. Praise God that I am His and he is mine, Hallelujah! Jesus went on to pray that they should be kept meaning established and maintained in the world and kept from the evil in it. We are in the keeping power of God’s hands. Indeed God is faithful to do as he promised, He is a keeper of His Word Just as His Word will keep His people. Jesus said, “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine” (John 17:9). “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil” (John 17:15). Today, I pray that God, who is our keeper, who is also faithful, will establish you and keep you from evil (2Thes 3:3). May His light shine upon you and through you from the glory if His brightness, dispelling darkness, as you, hold onto His faithful unchanging hand. (2Thes 3:3). Receive your protection now. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
