Father in heaven, glory to Your name. I pray in Jesus’ name, fill us with Your Holy Spirit of truth. Cause our eyes to be opened to Your Word that we might be able to recognise and test every spirit of lies and deception. For in these perilous times, Lord, every believer must be able by the power of Your Gospel Word to try the spirit, as there are many spirits in the world that do not confess Christ, and so, even the messages of angels must be tried by Your Word. For greater is Your Word in us, the spirit of truth in us, Jesus Christ in us, than he that is in the world, for we, through Christ Jesus have overcome them (1John 4:1-4). Father, people are so easily deceived, and Mat 24:5 tells us that many shall come in my name saying, I am Christ and shall  deceive many. Over £207 million was lost in 2020 by people who were tricked, deceived, led astray, scammed. Father, by the power of Your Word, open our eyes to every kind of deception as we read and meditate on Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Hallelujah! Amen.
