To all my Brethren and Friends in Christ, I greet you with blessings from above, in Jesus’ name.

As I was growing up I used to hear the elders, in a time of need and distress, say ‘the Lord will provide’ (Genesis 22:8). Back then it seemed to me to be just a statement not based on any truths, just a saying. But, I still hear it today as a mature man and thanks be to God, I now know that it is and must be a declaration of confidence and faith in God, based on a strong belief that He is who He is, and will be to us. Glory to God!

Abraham was on his way to give up his only son as a sacrifice to God. The son Isaac said, “here is the fire and the wood but where is the lamb for a burnt sacrifice?” (Gen 22:7 KJVLite). Abraham said confidently, “God will provide …” right at the point where he lifted up the knife to sacrifice his son. But the angel of the Lord stopped him, saying, “lay not thine hand upon the lad…” and God provided him a sacrifice. When the widow lost her son it was God who sent the spirit of resurrection to Elijah to resurrect the widow’s son. When the brook dried up it was God who sent Elijah to the widow for the miracle of provision. These examples help us to say truly, God will provide.

My beloved brethren, be confident in the Lord that He will provide for you today, tomorrow and in the future, whether it be resurrection, healing, finance or food, God Will Provide. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
