The Grace Of God
The grace of God given to Paul was not just an answer to his request for healing but was for a greater purpose in his life. Paul had a thorn in his flesh (2 Cor 12.9). He made three requests to God for healing, and God answered but I can only imagine it was not the answer Paul was looking for. God did not remove the thorn but gave to him strength to stand and to overcome.
In Acts 9:15-16 God speaks to Ananias concerning Paul’s suffering. “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.” Paul suffered many things, too many to mention here, but he was shipwrecked, imprisoned, and beaten 5 times. Read 2 Cor 11:23-28. In all these things the Grace of God prevailed.
Therefore, my dearly beloved brethren this supernatural Divine and sufficient grace I pray over us, in these perilous times that we may be strong in the name of Jesus and that even if we are perplexed, we are not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed, because Jesus our advocate intercedes on our behalf. Glory Hallelujah! to God for His grace. Amen.
