Doegs, Sanballats and Tobiahs are in the church, if its in the Bible its in the world and in the church. This is a very real issue and a reason why we must read our Bibles, it’s an eye opener and therein is another reason as to why we must. Many people may be asking, what is Brother Barry talking about? For a long time all I have had is a desire to see the church prosper, but many things prevent us from doing so locally. One of the names I gave earlier was Doeg. Let me describe him a little: he was a tale bearer, news carrier, a liar, he was an Edomite and a chief herdsman of King Saul. Because of Doeg’s tittle tattle, Ahimelech and 85 priests of God were put death by King Saul. He killed men and women, children and livestock (1Sam 22:18-19). This kind of tittle tattle, gossip in the church causes destruction.

Father, I thank You that You have given us dominion over the works of Your hands that even when the rulers of the earth have set themselves against us You are in the midst of us. By the power of the Holy Spirit, God, drive out the spirit of Doeg from Your church in Jesus’ name and pour out the Spirit of one accord. Lies and gossip have separated Your people from You and from each other. Father, I approach Your throne of grace, in Jesus’ name, and I say unto You that where there are Doegs there are also Sanballats and Tobiahs. Break their connection and cast them out from among us, Hallelujah, in Jesus’ name. Let their plans to disrupt Your work come to nought, let them fail, Lord, as You build Your church. In Jesus’ name.
