Repent And Be Blessed
God is willing for men to repent (Eze 18:25-32; 2 Pet 3:9). People, by God’s grace, are able to repent as salvation depends on it (Luk 13:1-5). Hallelujah!
The motives that produce repentance are the goodness of God (Rom 2:4) and the fear of judgment (Act 17:30; Act 17:31; 2 Cor 7:10). It is a change of mind resulting in a change or transformation in a person’s life (Isa 55:7; Isa 7:5; Mat 3:7; Jam 3:7-10). So if we are truly sorry for something we have done wrong, we will repent saying sorry to God because we love Him. And if we love God, we are happy to repent of our wrongdoings and be restored to a right relationship with our Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, get into God’s presence through repentance – it takes sin out of the way. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life (Rom 6:23). In the simplest of terms, repentance leads to reconciliation with God. What a blessing!
