Psalm 147:3 “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds”.

One of the main reasons God heals is His mission to restore us from our fallen state (sin) into our original position at creation, Hallelujah! God did not create brokenness or sickness. Whatever He created was good. God so wants to restore us that He sacrificed His only son Jesus to bring us back to him, to put us back into our position.

From the moment sin came into this world, from Genesis to the book of Revelation God undertook a work of restoration. God prepared salvation for the sinner, gave children to the barren, health to the sick and gave food to the hungry. He upheld the righteous and the innocent, fought our battles for us and gave us victories. He has given strength to the weak, power and might to those without authority, and the powerful gift of prayers to ask and receive answers through Christ Jesus.

Our God is constantly calling to us through His Word. He is saying “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Mat 11:28). He gives life to those who are dead in trespasses and sin. What would He not give? He gave his only Son so that we might live and live more abundantly. Are we convinced that whatever we need to be done God can do it? Are we convinced that God is all we need? A Healer and restorer is who God is, Healing and restoration are what He does. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him (Psa 34:9). Amen and Praise God!
