Father in heaven, thank You for this new day. As I open my eyes and see a light I did not switch on – I realise that You are in control and that You created all things. You created each one of us to be alive in this day with a purpose to fulfil. Lord, help us to accomplish the purpose You created us for, to live according to the Spirit. Father, we acknowledge that You are God and that there is none else, flesh and blood does not tell us Lord – we know by Your spirit. Lead us to find You in Your Word, strengthen us to live according to Your Word, lead us by day and by night, counsel us with Your wisdom, make a way Lord, where our paths are blocked open unto us doors of utterance to make request unto You, Lord, for healing, Lord for forgiveness, reconciliation, restoration and deliverance from evil. Father, we need Your help for families, Lord – for Your church, Lord. Father, give us understanding hearts and compassion, Lord, to love all of Your people, Father God. 
Father, send help as we look to the hills, our heads are lifted and our eyes are on You. In such a time as this, we wait patiently for You, Lord, our eyes are up on You. Send help to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, for we cannot do this so great a task without You. Send Your Word Lord to pierce the hearts of Your people that they might be saved, O God, even as we cry to You. Father God, hear our cry, O Lord, hear our request for all Your people to be touched by the Holy Spirit to worship You in spirit and in truth. We say thank You Father God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
