More Prayer In The Closet
To the one praying in the secret of the closet, God says that He will answer you openly. This is to say you don’t have to stand on the corner of the street to show the world what you are doing. God knows what you do even in secret. Those who stand on the corner have their reward, (Mat 6:5-6). Jesus took Himself away from His disciples to a private place to pray to the father. In response to the prayer of one seeking God for length of days and healing, even after God Himself had announced his demise, God will change His mind. Prayer in the closet changed the mind of God and caused Him to grant fifteen years to the one seeking Him in prayer. (2 Kings 20:1-6).

Today, the Lord God is saying to you, while you are still speaking I will answer you. He encourages us to call Him and He will answer, (Isa 65:24). He says I will be found of you when you seek me with your whole heart, (Jer 29:13). As we enter into more and more turbulent times, I pray we recognise that we have an even greater need of help from our redeemer for people who are sick and for those without salvation.

I pray, that in the chaos of these perilous times, we will lift up our faith in God, calling on Him in Jesus’ name from our closet in every circumstance. I encourage you to call Him with your voice, with your tears, with your heart. He has overcome this broken world, and He can solve every problem in our lives. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you giving you added peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
